I am suddenly not able to import a downloaded qfx file into quicken.
JA: A combination of financial issues and software stuff sounds like a recipe for needing our Expert. You are in the right place. Please tell me more, so we can help you best.
Customer: I have Quicken 2016 and attempting to import a qfx file from my financial institution into Quicken. I click on the file and nothing happens. Nothing.
JA: Is there anything else the Financial Software Technician should be aware of?
Customer: Not that I know of. I'm using Windows 10 on a PC.

If you have not done it yet

Try just rebooting the computer and redownloading the file and importing it again.

Also do the import from the file / import menu within quicken

You might also check to see whether quicken created a new account that it imported the transactions into. If it did let me know. At that point it is usually easier to keep this new account and rename it and copy the transactions from the old account into the new one.
