I backed up a file today and later tried to get back into my account and all the banking info seems to be gone. Even the backup file is empty.

Go to file / open

look at all of the files for one with a recent modified date and try to open that one

You can also search for *.qdf from the main windows search bar. that will show quicken data files in different folders and you might find it that way.

i can log in remotely to look for the file for you if you want to pay a little bit extra.
