what program are you using ?
and can you be a little bit more specific.
If this is quicken than there are a few issues that it can be
1. the register is sorted wrong. Just clicking on the word "DATE" in the title bar above the date column will fix the running balance
2. you are entering the deposit in the wrong column or with the wrong category. It needs to be in the deposit column as well as being selected as a deposit.
3. You are using a credit card account rather than a bank account. those are supposed to show negative balances.
I can log in remotely and fix it for you for sure if you want to pay a little bit extra. Or we can keep going back and forth this way for no extra charge. But it would be a lot faster if i coudl see what you were talking about.
