Customer Question

Yesterday I had my 2014 taxes prepared and all apparently went OK. At least until
Closing. Just after I paid, the internet went down. I have been able to print out
my receipt. However, what is supposed to happen next, I do not have a clue. Has the return been sent to IRS ?
In my haste to get started, I did not copy the password *****
I have been unable to finish.
What do I do? By the way, the internet is still not working correctly

I woudl verify if your tax return was actually accepted by the IRS.
That may be done in several ways.
First of all - you used a e-file provider - so you may contact THAT provider and verify the status on your return.
Another way - to verify the status on the IRS website. That information generally should be updated within 24 hours.

So security purposes - you woudl need to provide - your Social Security Number, your Filing Status and the refund amount as shown on your tax return.

Another way woudl be to order your tax return transcript - but for that your return should be processed and that might take several weeks.

Let me know if that answered your question.
