It quickly flashes across the screen that QBPOS service is not running. I have restarted both of the QB POS Services and both are running currently.
We took on a rootkill virus two days ago which has since been cleared up. I don't have a recent backup of the software or I would have already uninstalled/ reinstalled. When I attempt to go into QBPOS 10 to 'change' the program, it tells me that the Data1.cab file is corrupt. I extracted the file from the CD with no luck. Same issue.
I have the CC Cleaner downloaded, but this looks to be a paid subscription to use the service?
It is in the process of running now. I was looking at the wrong app. It has been a very long day!
CC Cleaner has completed. SFC is running now.
SFC did not find any issues. CHKDSK running now.
CHKDSK completed. No problems found.
When I start the POS, it prompts me for the company name which is already listed. When I click NEXT, it won't go forward. Just blinks and stays on the same screen.
When I go through the Repair, I get a error:
1330.A - Data1.Cab has invalid digital signature. Error 0 was returned by WinVerifyTrust.
The install went to the stage of copying files and then prompted with the same error.
We attempted the system restore on this prior to the virus hitting two days ago and could not get the prior restores to go through. Either they would hang up or fail out immediately. If you want me to pick the oldest file, I can attempt to do so again though.
Did three different restores, all failed.
I do not have any current backups prior to this hitting. Can we save the data?
I have the file saved to the desktop. I am on Win7 btw.

Yes I did. I followed the instructions and uninstalled using Revo and then cleaned up the install files through Revo.
The Server machine is working great now. I am working on the client machine right now and working through the same steps that you gave me before with the Revo app.
Is there anything different with the install that I should be doing except for this is a client install for the back machine? I have installed, updated and when it comes up, it just freezes. Everything else is working correctly.
First time through before I killed the job was about 7-8 minutes.
No, that is the client machine. The server machine is up and going and they are processing orders through on it. The odd thing about it is that the client machine didnt have any issues prior to this connecting up.
I did not do the cleaner. I went straight to the uninstall with Revo.
