Financial Software Questions? Ask IT Support for Answers ASAP
I am using the Canadian Online Version. When I click under tools, I can go to the Tax Summary, from whence I can go to the Detailed Tax Summary.
But that only shows me the total figure on Line 120; clicking on it only brings up a help screen.
dang the online form isn't that easy. you are supposed to be able to just back up and re enter the data.
try going to wages and income and then look for dividend income section. that should get you to the details part where you can change the input.
I don't know how much information you put in but if it is not a lot at some point it might be easier to just start again by hitting home and then clear data.
I have tried to work through the income section, without results. I also got through to turbo tax support after I raised the question, and they were unable to help.
I had basically completed my return, except for the one issue. It appears that the only thing I can do is to recreate the return from scratch.
Sorry, I don't think I got a satisfactory answer, but I don't want to give you a negative rating. Any ideas?
try clicking on T slips button as in this video and going to T-5 and see if you can change it there
Done that. No dice. The problem is that I had entered it as dividends not covered by a T5 slip. Once it's entered, it seems to "disappear", except for showing up in the Income Total and in the tax calculation.
sorry, In the American version all of that data is available under my tax data but I am not that familiar with the Canadian version and if the people at intuit could not figure it out my guess is that it is just a bug with the program and nobody remembered to put in a way to change that particular field
In that case you would have to re do the entire form. I would suggest printing out a copy before you do that and that would make it easier to re input.

I don't work for intuit. How many times are you going to give me a poor rating because intuit did not have any way to fix the error that you made without restarting the application ?
