I need help with Quickbooks and sending an invoice

 



Already Tried:
I've tried emailing the invoice like before but now it doesn't work. Initially, the error message was: an internal error has occurred . Now it says: Java programming error.

If it worked recently try doing a system restore to a time when it was working. If that does not work we can try more in depth trouble shooting

 

SYSTEM RESTORE INSTRUCTIONS - XP VISTA
start menu / all programs / accessories / system tools / system restore
select restore to an earlier date

you will get a calendar with various restore points for each day

choose one for a date BEFORE the problem started

hit the ok /restore button

the system will start to shut itself down and a blue status line will come up in a box saying restoring your system settings.

when it finishes the system will restart itself.

hopefully everything will work the way it did on the date you selected

 

 

 

System restore instructions - windows 7

type system restore in the white search box on the windows start menu and select system restore from the results

 

select restore to an earlier date.

Under the "suggested restore" which is usually not old enough to help is a link for "OTHER RESTORE POINTS"
click that if the suggested ones are not BEFORE THE PROBLEM STARTED

choose a date from the calendar that is BEFORE you experienced the problem

hit ok / restore

the computer will start to shut down

a restoring settngs box will appear with a status bar

when it finishes your computer will restart with the same settings it had on the date you restored to. your data will not be affected.

It is not perfect. But it fixes a lot of things.

I did the System Restore and continue getting a Java Programming Error. Would this problem have anything to do with setting up another company file in my Quickbooks and emailing from that company an invoice for them?

No its probably an error between quickbooks and the operating system try these instructions

 

open the quickbooks in safe mode by

holding down the ctrl key while double clicking on the quickbooks icon to open it

that should open the quickbooks in safe mode with no company file

go to

file / open company

and browse to my documents and select the file.

If the quickbooks opens but the new company file still wont open

You can try doing a verify and rebuild on it
file / file operations / verify rebuild

If those do not work you need to restore a backup

 

If the quickbooks will not open even in safe mode you need to reinstall the quickbooks software

 

QUICKBOOKS CLEAN INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

try doing a clean install with the instructions on this page. It should not effect your data but i always recomend

making sure that you have a good back up and / or a copy of your data file ( it ends .qbw ) in a safe place such as

a flash drive or another folder.

 

It requires that you have a copy of the quickbooks install cd or download. If you downloaded from intuit you can

get another copy free.

If you purchased from Intuit directly you can download again for 3 years.

 

For quickbooks go to https://www.intuit.com/login/

click on cart orders downloads

sign in with your intuit id and password. ( usually your email address is the id )

 

click on downloads and unlocks


That should give you a list of any intuit product that you purchased online within the last 3 years with a download

button.

After checking things out ore online, I found that Quickbooks was having online issues all over the place. They recommended I save the invoice in PDF format then email it through my email provider until they get things working. I did that and it appeared to have worked for now.

Thank you for what help you could offer me. I'll give you a good rating because you've done what you could and I will take it all to heart. Thank you again.
