To restore a backup from your online backups, please do the following steps in Quicken.

Select the File menu and select Restore or Restore Backup File > Browse Online Backup.

A dialog lists the last 90 days of backups you have made of each Quicken data file that you are backing up online. The file with the most recent date and time stamp is the most recently backed up data file.

Select the data file you want to restore, and click OK.
To close the confirmation message that Quicken displays when your files are restored, click OK.

To open the file you restored, select the File menu and select Open.

Thank you for your very clear instructions. however, when I clicked on my latest backup, which was June 24, 2012 and it was restored, the last entry is for July, 2010.

Are you sure you are not filtering the information incorrectly?

Can you also check that you dont have multiple company files? and that it has been backing up the wrong one?

Unfortunately I cannot see how the backups occurred in the past, only guide you to restoring your backups.

My belief is that it has been backing up the wrong file

Have you been following these steps to backup?

I've been doing File, then Backup. My screen shows the choices of: : computer, CD or floppy disc


or online:


manage account


get more storage capacity.


So i haven't gone through the steps you've outlined..

I've been clicking OK for online, manage: manage accounts.

ok, Sorry Ron, but I cannot see why it has not been backing up all your data in the past as I can not look back into this.

But if you do a backup now, is it backing up all the data?
