when trying to connect to my bank though quickbooks it is not connecting with my bank home page to download. I am seeing a message when I hit download that say trying to connect with intuit to retrieve info about bank.
Already Tried: Calling my accountant and calling the bank. The bank said they could not help with quickbooks matters. Accountant told me to make sure I'm current on updates. I think I am.
make sure that you are on the latest release of the quickbooks
go to this link http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/ProductUpdates.aspx
if you are not on pro 2012 than click the "choose a different product" link and select the product you are using
then download and install the update
Try disabling your firewall if that doesnt fix it.
I am up to date and my firewall is disabled. Still not working.
what version and release of quickbooks is it and what operating system? And what is the exact word for word error message that you are getting
Quickbooks 2009, Mac OS X version 10.6.8
first go to the banks website. Make sure that the id and password XXX have work there. If they wont work there they wont work for quickbooks
in quickbooks
go to banking / online banking setup
remove it from online banking
then put it back in the same way that you did orginally choosing the bank putting in the password XXX id etc
I did that and I get an error message 0.
Have you got antivirus or firewall software running ? Disable it and try it again if you do.
What bank is it ? Sometimes they drop support for quicken or quickbooks or change their system and it no longer works with them. Make sure that you have the latest release of the quickbooks running. One of the things the patches do is update exactly how quickbooks will find each bank
If none of that works try reinstalling the quickbooks program.
I am sorry to keep this open. I have been extremely busy with work. I am a new Mac user of about a year. I for the life of me can figure out how to uninstall Quickbooks. Everything else has failed.
