I updated to quickbooks 2012 and nothing from quickbooks prints. However everything else including other intuit products such as pro series prints fine. Do I need to download special drivers ?
Already Tried: I have tried to locate the Qbrint.qdp file and change name but system won't let me.

There are no special drivers that I know of - and if your other intuit products are working you must have any required drivers installed. It may be that your quickbooks just doesn't know where to find them ...
You need to configure your quickbooks for your specific printer(s). First, check under file/printer setup. A dialog box will open with all the different forms and which printer to use. If your printer is not listed there - you need to check the printer setup/defaults on your computer.
For check printing, use the file/print setup as above and select check/PayCheck. The dialog will give you options based on check style you are using.
Another common issue with printers not working in quickbooks is the use of the PDF printer drivers. It's usually called Quickbooks PDF converter or you may have one from a check printing software or other intuit products you use. Often these get marked as the default printer in the software - and if you are not using it - the forms you print go nowhere. The printer setup dialog or printer setup on your computer will help you find if that is your situation.
