I need to be able to write a long identification for the Payee in the "Pay to the Order of" line. i.e.: John Doe, Personal Representative for the Estate of Jane Doe". Is there a way to make two lines of typing instead of one? Actually the one line could be a lot longer but it cuts off after only 41characters.
Already Tried: Tried QB but haven't received an answer and I am distributing funds today (Sunday!)

Unfortunately, the Payee field length cannot be changed. In fact, all of the QuickBooks character field lengths are fixed.
The options are too abbreviate the name; for example, use Rep. or leave the payee field blank by placing a period in "print on check as" and then handwriting the name on the check go back in to QuickBooks afterwords and correct.

I'm sorry you expected more, as stated the Payee field length is fixed by Intuit and the user is unable to alter; this includes being unable to add a second line. Please let me know how I can assist you further.
