Shoulder/ collar bone pain

I have had a horrible pain on my left side from my ear to my shoulder for many days and nothing is helping the pain go away. I have always had trouble with this shoulder and I used to think it was my collar bone from an old soccer injury. Every time I do something active it hurts bad but the pain usually goes away. This time it came out of nowhere and is the worst it’s ever been. What should I do?

You will have to see an MD or a Chiropractor and may even require physical therapy.  It could be anything from muscle spasm to pinched nerve to inflammatory process.  Don't continue to suffer.  You can try applying ice then heat.  The MD may try muscle relaxants as well.  Feel better soon.  Nurse Hope

Only speaking from experience here, I have felt a similer pain. I have bad shoulders, surgery on one for torn rotator cuff and being that i have issues with them, I unconsciously was tensing and carry that side differently. I would get the worse pain in and between my shoulder/neck. After numerous x-rays I finally went to and sports medicine Dr who did an MRI and diagnosed it so you may want so try that.
Good Luck!
