I lost my I D after clearing security in DFW. I am now in Seattle and need to get home. I have a picture of my passport and my social security card.

ANSWER: While the passport copy and the SS card (as well as maybe a Costco card, or credit cards, or other documents with your name on them) are helpful to provide evidence of your identity, they, alone, will not be enough. But you can still travel. If you have lost or forgotten your ID, and you are willing to provide some information to the authorities, they can use publicly available databases to confirm your identity. You also will probably have to undergo additional security screening at the TSA checkpoint. So it is important to show up to the airport with plenty of time to go through this process.
