i am a 55 year old male, idont smoke, drink, or take drugs of any kind. i am very active and try to keep myself healthy. i currently am managing a diebetes and colesterol problem. MY doctor tels me that because my liver is lazy and is processing at only 50%.i dont have liver cancer or any type of hepatitis. i forgot what the disease is called, but my doctor tells me that i will eventually need a liver an pancreas transplant. what would these transplants cost me, including anti rejection drugs.thmas
Is it fatty liver?
yes, but, according to my doctor, my liver has early signs of cirosos.
Are you overweight?
no, he has told me that my liver is just to slow at processing and over time has slowed.
That is odd. A liver shouldn't just do that.
I would see a liver specialist to make sure this is appropriate.
To answer your original question a liver/pancreas transplant would probably cost a million dollars or more.
You would need insurance.
