Customer Question

My Keurig is about 2 years old. Recently it seemed the coffee wasn't as hot as previously. Then about a week ago, I started seeing a warning to the effect "descale." That's the first time I had heard the word descale. Then, today, it simply stopped working -- it won't brew at all. My question: Is the problem because I didn't descale when I got the signal? Can the machine be repaired? Or would the repair cost indicate I should get a new one?
I love the maker -- but it should last longer than this one has.
