Customer Question

I'm doing discriminant analysis. To decrease the number of variables, I did a factor analysis. Now I want to use the results of the factor analysis in the discriminant analysis. Lots of websites tell you that this can be done, but none tell you exactly how to do it. If it makes a difference, I am using SPSS.

I want to know how I use factor analysis results in discriminant analysis.

Here's a quote: "from an original group of 36 variables, factor analysis enabled them to reduce them to 6 key variables to be used in the final discriminant function." My question is: how did they use the 6 key variables in the discrimination analysis?
