Customer Question

Customer: My issue is regarding a Bernina 1230 that I just purchased used. I used to own one in the past. I began to do some practice sewing and suddenly I have a needle stuck in the down position. It will not budge, and the hand wheel will not turn it manually either. The power lights are on as normal; nothing blinking to indicate a problem.
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: The machine was shipped via UPS and I have had it for about an hour. I put a bobbin in the case, did some straight stitching, then a couple of other basic stitches (zig zag, etc.) and then everything stopped. Cannot move the needle up or down or turn the hand wheel.
JA: OK got it. Last thing — JustAnswer charges a fee (generally around $18) to post your type of question to Experts (you only pay if satisfied). There are a couple customers ahead of you. Are you willing to wait a bit?
Customer: I suppose. I need to get ready to leave for a event in about an hour. Should I just wait until I return later this evening?
JA: OK. Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.
