Janome 7700 stitch length problems. While straight

Customer Question

Janome 7700 stitch length problems. While straight stitching with my 7700, I noticed that my stitches were getting smaller and smaller and I was having to pull on the fabric to make it move. --So I stopped and turned the machine off and cleaned out under the bobbin but it has not resolved. ---I've changed the feed dog lever back and forth several times but having the feed dogs up does not help the fabric move, even though visually it looks like they are working. --I have pressed "clear" on the key pad (even though I did not have any particular pattern displayed) but that has changed nothing. --I took the bottom part of the machine off and vacuumed the underside and nothing has changed. --I have changed the stitch length from 2.2 to 5.0 and that does not make the stitches bigger. --I have changed from stitch #93 to DS1 and that does not change anything.--I have rethreaded the top and bobbin threads but nothing has changed.

What else can I try? Rena Lunders
