Considering retitling and refinancing a sole ownership investment property to include son's name as joint tenant. Purchase price $450,000, current evaluation $650,000: q1. - if son continues to pay rent, can property still be an investment property for 50% outgoing costs for me. q2. - will CGT be applicable to half of the above figures, even thought I am being paid less than my purchase price. That is CGT on $100,00 due to ATO in next financial year.
