Customer Question

I have what appears to be an original painting on canvas by Neal Doty. It is called ESCAPADE. signed in lower right corner and also signed on the back with a date that looks like 1999 or 1994. There is also a circled C and the name of the painting. unframed size is 40 x 40 inches. I can't find any place that mentions this work. I got it in Palm Springs area where Doty lives. Can you help me with any information. I wish to sel it

Hi, my name is ***** ***** I am happy to assist you. Currently this artist work does not have a high sale value. The painting has not yet reached the peak where the value will be at a high to sale. It would take another 15 to 20 years for it to reach a high and depending on the market also. In the current market you are looking at a value of around $350 and they do sale good on sites such as ebay if you wanted to try that. Please let me know if you have further questions.

I disagree with you that his work does not have a high sale value. Just go on the internet to see that his work has much higher value. I expected a more detail analysis. His originals sell in the thousands of dollars at major art galleries. I wish to excercise the guarantee as I am not happy with the evaluation. Pleas do not charge my card.

This item is not a numbered piece you did not reference if it was numbered only signed so this piece would not be a high value due to it not being a limited edition.

If I knew a little more about your item it could have a higher value but by your description and the book value listed for your item that is what it shown.

Those on that site are in pristine condition and from art collectors not individual people they are with collectors.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

It is an original painting so there is no number. I can send you a picture.

What is the difference between a collector and an individual owner? if there are collectors out there wouldn't they possibly be interested in adding to there collection?

I am probably better off contacting a gallery that deals in his works.

This painting is in very good condition

Yes a photo might help and just because it's an original doesn't mean it is a one of a kind. Try to paste a photo here and if you are not able to do that with the paper clip I can try email services
