I believe I have an original oil painting "Razzberry Creek

Resolved Question:

I believe I have an original oil painting "Razzberry Creek Crossing" by Carl Valente. If it were genuine, what would be an approx value (the painting is in perfect condition, however, the frame is substandard.

This painting by Carl Valente (American b. 1928) would have value on the fine art market. Looking at the last two years of sales a work of this nature would be in the range of 500.00 depending of course on the condition of the frame that you describe and the venue of sale. As he has sold for less at smaller venues and larger fine art auction houses seem to have a better showing of his landscapes.

Heritage Auctions seems to know his work well. If you are interested in selling, I would talk to one of their many offices around the country from Dallas, Beverley Hills, San Francisco to NYC. http://www.ha.com/
